About Us

İzmir Agricultural Technology Center (İTTM) was established in Menemen under the leadership of the Izmir Commodity Exchange, within the campus boundaries of the International Agricultural Research and Training Center Directorate (UTAEM), affiliated with the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM) of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. It was established as a Technology Development Center aiming to bring agriculture together with technology within the scope of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and KOSGEB TEKMER Support Program.

Entrepreneurial companies located within TEKMER develop R&D projects in the vertical theme of İTTM, namely “Smart Agriculture Technologies”, and can also benefit from tax incentives within the framework of the Law No. 5746 on Supporting R&D and Design Activities. Serving also as a living laboratory, İTTM has established a protocol with TAGEM to allow initiatives to use the application areas within the UTAEM campus as testing and experimentation fields.
