Project Summary :  Implemented in collaboration with Foodback, InLife, Yaşar University, and the İzmir Agricultural Technology Center (İTTM) with the support of EIT Food, the Food Solutions “Waste-to-Value” training program was created for students with ideas to transform food waste into valuable biomaterials.

Opportunities offered to students in the 7-month hybrid training program:

  • Trainings on entrepreneurship, idea development, value proposition creation, business model design, and market analysis
  • One-to-one mentoring support from academic and entrepreneurship mentors
  • Opportunity to turn ideas into prototypes
  • Participation in a final in-person Demo Day event, where:
  • The first team will receive €1,500
  • The second team will receive €1,000
  • The third team will receive €500
